Dunoon

Dunoon, the main town on the Cowal peninsula, has a range of local shops, hotels and eating-places. The town’s steamer pier has been partly restored and is worth a visit. The Castle House Museum holds historical information and displays on Dunoon and Cowal.

    Cruise Loch Striven
    Join at Dunoon to cruise along the eastern Cowal coast, calling at Rothesay before sailing into Loch Striven. Loch Striven is rarely visited by passenger vessels; it lies north of the Isle of Bute & was once used as a sheltered anchorage for laid-up vessels such as large oil tankers. Return on board by the same route.
